THE CANTICLE OF SIMEON.

Now dost thou dismiss thy servant, O Lord, in peace: according to Thy word.

For mine eyes have seen Thy salvation.

Which Thou hast prepared before the face of all Thy people.

A light to enlighten the Gentiles, and the glory of Thy people Israel.

Glory be to the Father, &c.

Ant. Save us, O Lord, when we are awake, and keep us while we sleep, that we may watch with Christ, and rest in peace (In Paschal time, Alleluia).
