First notes[edit]

This is the the text of Articles of Impeachment against Thomas Porteous, a Louisiana judge. Like the articles against former Judge Samuel Kent, this has been added to Wikisource since it is the first time in over 20 years a federal judge could be impeached and removed (Kent, while impeached, resigned before the trial started) from office. Like the previous text, it could change as it goes through Congress. I do intend to proofread this. If anyone wants to jump in, go ahead! Hoshie (talk) 02:03, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
