FRAGMENT: TO ITALY

[Published by Dr. Garnett, Relics of Shelley, 1862.]

As the north wind to the clouds,
As the earthquake's fiery flight,
Ruining mountain solitudes,
Everlasting Italy, 5
Be those hopes and fears on thee.
