The Sequence of the Benedictions and the Kindling	סדר הברכות וההדלקה
Paragraph 1 — One who kindles on the first night recites three benedictions — "…to kindle the Hanukkah light," "…who performed miracles…" and "…who has kept us alive… ." If one did not recite the benediction for the season [i.e. "…who has kept us alive…"] on the first night, he should recite it on the second night, or when he remembers.	סעיף א — המדליק בליל ראשון מברך שלש ברכות — להדליק נר חנוכה, ושעשה נסים, ושהחיינו. ואם לא בירך זמן בליל ראשון, מברך בליל שני או כשיזכור.
Paragraph 2 — From the first night onwards one recites two benedictions — "…to kindle…" and "…who performed miracles… ." Rem"a: One should recite all the benedictions before he begins to kindle. (Mahari"l)	סעיף ב — מליל ראשון ואילך מברך שתים — להדליק ושעשה נסים. הגה: ויברך כל הברכות קודם שיתחיל להדליק (מהרי"ל).
Paragraph 3 — Someone who did not kindle, and is not going to kindle that night, and also no-one is kindling for him at his house — when he sees a Hanukkah light he recites the benediction "…who performed miracles…," and on the first night he also recites "…who has kept us alive… ." And if afterward on the second or third night he comes to kindle, he does not recite "…who has kept us alive…" again.	סעיף ג — מי שלא הדליק, ואינו עתיד להדליק באותו הלילה, וגם אין מדליקין עליו בתוך ביתו — כשרואה נר חנוכה מברך שעשה נסים, ובליל ראשון מברך גם שהחיינו. ואם אח"כ בליל ב' או ג' בא להדליק, אינו חוזר ומברך שהחיינו.
Paragraph 4 — After one has kindled, he says "These lights we kindle for the salvations and for the miracles and for the wonders… etc."	סעיף ד — אחר שהדליק, אומר הנרות הללו אנו מדליקין על התשועות ועל הנסים ועל הנפלאות וכו'.
Paragraph 5 — One begins to kindle on the first night with the rightmost light, and on the second night when he adds one light next to it, he should begin by reciting the benediction over the additional one, which is further left, in order to turn toward the right, and similarly on the third night when he adds another one next to the first two lights, he should begin with the additional one, and with it he should begin the benediction, and afterward he should turn toward the right side, and similarly on every night. It comes out that he is always reciting the benediction over the additional one, which is instructive about the miracle, for with the additional days the miracle increased.	סעיף ה — יתחיל להדליק בליל ראשון בנר היותר ימיני, ובליל ב' כשיוסיף נר אחד סמוך לו, יתחיל ויברך על הנוסף, שהוא יותר שמאלי, כדי להפנות לימין, וכן בליל ג' כשיוסיף עוד אחד סמוך לב' נרות הראשונות, יתחיל בנוסף ובו יתחיל הברכה, ואח"כ יפנה לצד ימין, וכן בכל לילה. נמצא שתמיד מברך על הנוסף, שהוא מורה על הנס, שהרי בתוספת הימים ניתוסף הנס.
