Summary

Description
English: Cincinnati’s 1948 Master Plan included certain specific expressway recommendations. Exhaustive studies were made on this section of I-71 to preserve the historic Lytle Park area. Two S-lane tunnels for ramp traffic plus special lighting, ventilation, and flood and fire protection were all included. These tunnels also provide a base for restoring Lytle Park and the private development of a multimillion dollar apartment complex.
