Description
English: Engraving from a magazine article (Once a Week volume 7, page 443) captioned "Photographed from the Original Painting." At that time the said painting was in the possession of Henrietta Tindal. It is a portrait of Catherine Canham (1720-1752) who is famous for having bigamously married John, Lord Dalmeny (1725-1755) while still married to Rev. Alexander Henry Gough (1717-1774), and for the touching scene that ensued when the two husbands met after her death & and both walked in her funeral procession.
