| Notes: | Some mushroom books mention Sowerby in the authorship of Cortinarius collinitus - for instance, Bon[1] & Courtecuisse[2] give author as (Sow.) Fr. & (Sow.:Fr.) S.F.Gray. However, in Index Fungorum the species is not referred back to Sowerby's publication, implying that the mushroom which Sowerby drew may not be the same as the modern species. |
