English: Memorial to Pioneers of Westland, a plate from the 1921 pamphlet Hokitika, N.Z. : the Birth of the Borough by D.J. Evans amongst others, a fundraiser for the Westland Pioneers' Memorial maintenance. Printed by the Hokitika Guardian. Caption: "WESTLAND PIONEERS' MEMORIAL, STAFFORD STREET, HOKITIKA. Erected at the time of the Jubilee of Westland, 1914, to the honor of the Pioneers of Westland. The monument bears a notable inscription."
