Summary

Description
English: Theodore Roosevelt and Binger Hermann on a train arriving in Portland, Oregon. According to Stephen A. D. Puter, Hermann arranged the photograph without Roosevelt's knowledge, in order to stage a campaign photograph conveying the false notion that he was on good terms with Roosevelt, who was popular in his district.
