The Gentleman's Magazine (1731)

monthly digest of news founded in London by Edward Cave in January, 1731. It continued to publish through 303 volumes until September 1907. The name of the pseudonymous editor, Sylvanus Urban, continued to be used by all editors throughout the life of the publication.
