Henry Baker

Quebec, also known as Hesperus, was written by Baker in 1854. A friend of his, unknown to him, submitted the tune anonymously to John Keble as a setting for Keble's hymn "Sun of My Soul". It was published with this hymn in 1866 in John Grey's Hymnal for the Use of the English Church.
