The Tragedy of Julius Cæsar, more commonly known simply as Julius Caesar, is a play by William Shakespeare written in 1599, wherein the conspiracy against the Roman dictator, Julius Caesar, his assassination and the aftermath thereof are portrayed. It is the first of his Roman plays, based on true events from Roman history. Warning: template has been deprecated.
