Member of the Hill family of Paulton 1843
The 1st John Hill of Paulton, who died about the year 1739 in May, had 3 sons and 1 daughter. This daughter married a Samborne Palmer of Finsbury by whom she had 1 daughter. This daughter married Mr Milward, Solicitor of Reynham whose monument is now in Paulton Church. The 3 sons also married. Joseph the eldest married Miss Kitty Langford of Dunford, Funsbury, sister to the old Mr Langford, a farmer of Dunford by whom they had only one child, Joseph & the old (illegible text) of Paulton who married Miss Saunders, who was the mother of the present John (illegible text) (illegible text) ((illegible text)) and his (illegible text) two sisters now living, Elizabeth & Julia. The other 2 brothers married two sisters by the name of Ames and a Miss (illegible text)
