man who has never worn badly-shaped boots, the boot shown in Figure B having been tried on only as an experiment. The perfection of this foot, which is almost unique in my experience, is doubtless due to the fact that the owner's father, a medical man, allowed his son to run about barefoot when a child, having sandals made for him to wear over stockings with divisions for the toes for out-door wear.
