Adaptability
Styles 50, 51, 52 and 53, Spirella bust extenders, are designed for slender to medium figures with bust and chest development small in proportion to waist size and shoulder breadth. Style 50 is intended for the slender, long waisted figure; style 51, for the medium or slender short waisted figure; styles 52 and 53 are adapted to either figures, as they do not approach the waist line. Dispense with padding; leave chest free and unconstricted; improve carriage. Cool. No pressure upon breasts. Carefully shaped, stiffened with Spirella to present perfect outline. Strong enough to withstand pressure of clothing. Fit perfectly over a Spirella corset. Illustrations on preceding pages show styles 50, 52 and 53.
Description
All these styles are made of light. strong, white batiste, daintily trimmed with lace. Styles 52 and 53 also made in all-over embroidery. Beautifully curved to produce roundness in front of under arm where slender figure is usually deficient, as well as in the bust.
Adjustable at the waist by means of surplice and tapes which tie in front. Styles 50 and 51 adjust at back, styles 52 and 53 in front. In styles 52 and 53 a special tape loop obviates passing the tapes around the waist.
Styles 50 and 51 can be raised or lowered by means of the adjustable shoulder straps, which should be sewed after the center of the bust is properly placed. Style 53 has shoulder adjustment by means of ties. Style 52 has no shoulder adjustment but adjusts around the top of the garment by draw—tape in the lace. Dress shields may be attached directly to the extender.
Standard sizes, 32 to 40 inclusive, even sizes only, in styles 50 and 51. Standard sizes 32 to 46, inclusive, in styles 52 and 53. Larger or smaller sizes, Special. Order size of shirt waist worn or one size smaller, depending upon development of customer. Avoid selecting too large an extender. Styles 52 and 53 can be made in materials to match corsets.
