Amendment to the Royal Decree
Designating the Method for Selection of Persons to Be Instated in
Positions With Special Circumstances in the Public Prosecution Department,

Being the 2nd year of the present reign
Whereas it is found appropriate to amend the dispositions of the Royal Decree Designating the Method for Selection of Persons to Be Instated in Positions With Special Conditions in the Public Prosecution Department, 2477 BE;
Therefore, by virtue of the dispositions of the final paragraph of section 13 of the Act Regulating Civil Officials, 2476 BE, the Council of Regency, in the name of the King, orders that the following Royal Decree be enacted:
Section1.This Royal Decree shall be called the "Amendment to the Royal Decree Designating the Method for Selection of Persons to Be Instated in Positions With Special Conditions in the Public Prosecution Department, 2478 Buddhist Era".
Section2.This Royal Decree shall come into force from the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette on.
Section3.Only the dispositions of subsections 5 and 6 of section 4 of the Royal Decree Designating the Method for Selection of Persons to Be Instated in Positions With Special Conditions in the Public Prosecution Department, 2477 BE, shall be repealed and replaced by the following dispositions:
"5.The Ministry of Interior CSSC[1] shall select first-class assistant prosecutors from amongst the second-class assistant prosecutors who have served as such for not less than six months.
The Ministry of Interior CSSC shall select second-class assistant prosecutors from amongst the trainee prosecutors who have served as such for not less than six months, or from amongst the public service trainees in the Public Prosecution Department who have been trained for not less than six months, or from amongst the attorneys-at-law who have practiced as such for not less than two years.
6.The Public Prosecution Department CSSC shall select trainee prosecutors from amongst the public service trainees in the Public Prosecution Department. As regards the public service trainees in the Public Prosecution Department, they shall be selected by the Public Prosecution Department CSSC through examination of those who have passed final examination in Siam for bachelor's degrees or equivalents from the University of Moral and Political Sciences and are members of the Bar Association."
Section4.The Minister of Interior shall have the duty to be in charge of the execution of this Royal Decree.
