AGNESI, Maria Teresa, born at Milan, 1724; sister of the renowned scholar, Maria Gaetana Agnesi; a celebrated pianist of her time, composed four operas, 'Sofonisbe,' 'Ciro in Armenia,' 'Nitocri,' and 'Insubria consolata' (1771)) several cantatas, and many pianoforte concertos and sonatas, well known in Germany.
