ANTIPUS. The commander of the Nephite forces in the extreme southwest, during the war with Amalickiah and Ammoron. He fought stubbornly for several years, against great odds, and was at last slain in battle with the Lamanites, in the wilderness north of the city of Judea (B. C. 65). [See Helaman.]
