Appearance
ARCHEANTUS. A Nephite officer of rank in the army commanded by Mormon. He was killed in a “sore battle” fought with the Lamanites (probably towards the middle of the fourth century of the Christian era) in which the latter were victorious. He is spoken of by Mormon in his second epistle to his son, in connection with a great number of “choice men” lost in the same disastrous battle.
