LEVI. A Jaredite prince, the son of Kim. His father was driven from the throne and held in captivity for the remainder of his days. Levi was born m captivity and so remained until 42 years after the death of his father; when he rose in rebellion against his uncle, who occupied the throne, deposed him, and reigned in his stead. During his reign he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and his people were greatly prospered. He lived to a good old age, was blessed with a large family, and when he died his son Corom succeeded him as king.
