מרדעא f. (Syr. ברדעתא, P. Sm. 604; Arab. bardaat, v. Fr. Aram. Premdw., p. 104) a garment made up of patches. Lam. R. tto I, 1 רבתי (כות חד 1) וכ׳ ליה אאית מ׳ (ed. Wil. מדר׳, corr. acc.) he has a garment made up of twenty four patches, v. איסטחא II.
מרדעת f. (preced.) pack-saddle or cushion, consisting of patches. Sabb. V, 2 (2b) וכ׳ במ׳ יוצא חמור an ass 1may be driven out (on the Sabbath) with the cushion tied on his back (as a protection from cold); ib. 53a. Tosef. Kil. V, 106
