Jan Bennet, of Flatbush, son of Adriaen Bennet and Angenietje Van Dyck, in New Utrecht; married, January 6, 1696, Femmetje Ranalje, daughter of Jeronamus Ranalje and Anna Denyse, born October 17, 1676. His will dated March 30, 1722 (R. L. 14, F., 30, N. Y.). This is the Oyster Bay family, and is compiled from a Psalm-book record of Rem Bennet, a son of Joris Bennet, regarding the children.
