LANG. (Lieutenant, 1842.)

Edward Wollaston Lang entered the Navy (from the Royal Naval College) 13 Jan. 1833; passed his examinatiqp 5 April, 1837; and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant while serving as Mate in the Southampton 50, flag-ship at the Cape of Good Hope of Sir Edw. Durnford King, 12 May, 1842. He was then appointed to the Fantome 16, Capt. Philip Geo. Haymes, on the South American station; and since 16 May, 1843, has been employed in the Pacific on board the Fisgard 42, Capt. John Alex. Duntze. Agents – Messrs. Halford and Co.
