PENGELLY. (Lieutenant, 1826.)
Robert Lamport Pengelly entered the Navy 27 June, 1809; passed his examination in 1817; and while serving in 1826 in a tender belonging to the Maidstone frigate, Commodore Chas. Bullen, was wounded at the capture of the Prince of Guinea slave-brig of 10 guns. He was made a Lieutenant 9 Dec. in the same year; and was afterwards, from 6 Oct. 18.32 until paid off in 1834, employed on the Lisbon station in the Asia 84, flag-ship of the present Sir Wm. Parker. He has not been since afloat.
