THURSBY. (Lieutenant, 1826.)

Frederick Spencer Thursby, born in 1801, is third son of John Harvey Thursby, Esq., of Abington Abbey, co. Northampton (who served as High Sheriff for the shire in 1803), by Emma, daughter of Wm. Piggott, Esq., of Doddershall; and nephew of Wm. Spencer Thursby, Esq., a Lieut.-Colonel in the army.

This officer entered the Navy 7 Sept. 1814; passed his examination in 1822; and obtained his commission 1 June, 1826. With the exception of a few months passed in 1837-8 in the Coast Guard, he has since been on half-pay.

He married, in 1831, Miss Lerigens, of Aix-la-Chapelle. Agent – J. Hinxman.
