Hampden, Robert Trevor, s. Thomas Trevor (Baron Trevor). Queen's Coll., matric. 21 Feb., 1722-3, aged 17; Christ Church, B.A. 1725, 4th Baron Trevor of Bromham, envoy extraordinary at the Hague 1739, and minister plenipotentiary 1741-6, took the additional surname and arms of Hampden 1754, joint postmaster-general 1765, created Viscount Hampden 8 June, 1776, died 22 Aug., 1783, father of John T. 1767, and Thomas next named.
