Hood, (Sir) Alexander (Bart.), s. Alexander, of Butleigh, Somerset, arm. Exeter Coll., matric. 31 May, 1810, aged 16; created M.A. 22 June, 1814, 2nd baronet, knighted 22 May, 1812, as proxy for his uncle, Sir Samuel Hood, at the installation of the Bath in that year, M.P. West Somerset 1847, until his death 7 March, 1851. See Foster's Baronetage.
