-heim, adverb, from Middle High German and Old High German heim, accusative singular, ‘home(wards),’ and Middle High German and Old High German heime, dative singular, ‘at home’; in the other dialects, except Gothic, the respective substantives in the cases mentioned are likewise used adverbially in the same sense.
