It seemed strange to me,     a wolf held by a lamb;
the lamb fell …     and disemboweled the wolf.
As I stood and watched     I beheld great glory:
There stood two wolves     troubling a third—
four feet had they;     with seven eyes they saw.
Mirum videtur mihi     lupus ab agno tenetur ·
