These are the Articles of Incorporation that legally established the Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity, which had been founded at Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State University) on November 27, 1919.

BE IT KNOWN, That the undersigned citizens of the State of Oklahoma, do hereby voluntarily associate ourselves together for the purpose of forming a private Corporation under the laws of the State of Oklahoma, and do hereby certify,

FIRST:

That the name of this Fraternity
Corporation
shall be: Kappa Kappa Psi

SECOND:

That the purpose s for which this Fraternity
Corporation
is formed are to be of assistance to individual members first, socially, by raising the standard of Bands, and by helping members to adjust themselves to new environments when entering College, and by creating a feeling of closer fellowship among themselves; Second, Educationally by affording encouragement in lines of all work and endeavor, and by assisting backward members in carrying on their work and advising them as to what coursed they should pursue; Third, To encourage better musical ability in Colleges, and to keep a record of the Bands' activities in Colleges.

THIRD:

That the places where its principal business is to be transacted are at the Colleges in the United States which shall be designated by the Grand Council of this Fraternity, the first chapter being at the Okla. A. & M College

FOURTH:

That the term for which the Corporation is to exist is as long as the Fraternity shall be active and successful.

FIFTH:

The number of Directors or Trustees of this Fraternity

and the names and residences of such of them who are to serve until the election of such officers and their qualifications.

That the amount of Capital Stock of this Corporation shall be NOTHING DOLLARS

This certificate is issued subject to the following Constitutional requirements: That the corporation to which it is issued will submit any difference it may have with employes, with reference to labor, to arbitration, as shall be provided by law. (Sign here)
