[edit]Lawes is best known as the collaborator with Joseph Henry Gilbert in the agricultural researches undertaken at Rothamsted Experimental Station. Between 1843 and 1901, 132 research papers were issued from Rothamsted, nearly all of which were jointly authored by Lawes and Gilbert.
