DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT.
The death occurred on Tuesday last at Croydon of Mr. Alexander Waugh Johnston, M.A., aged 81. The deceased was the third son of the late John Johnston, of Clydesdale, Singleton. He will be remembered by many residents of Singleton as a teacher at the old Grammar School, and frequently contributed to the Press on the question of free railways. The interment took place at Presbyterian Cemetery, Rookwood.
