Biographical sources
[edit]- The most complete source is Annie Barrows Shepley (1856 - c.1943) on Geni.com.
- This is supported by Letters of E. B. White (Google Books link), HarperCollins, 2013, ISBN 9780062309600. This mentions some of the same details.
- The Playground (Internet Archive link), 1907, p. 228, mentions both Annie Omori and Hyozo Omori
- wikipedia:it:Hyozo Omori (on Italian Wikipedia) is a stub article about her husband which is unreferenced at time of writing but covers the basics.
- Hyonzo (and his involvement with introducing basketball and volleyball to Japan) is backed up by: Historical Dictionary of Basketball by By John Grasso, The Father of Judo: A Biography of Jigoro Kano by Brian N. Watson, and Global Practices of Language Teaching (2008).

- Additionally, for what it's worth, as an artist these links appear to refer to the same person:
- Annie Barrows Shepley on New England Art Exchange
- Annie Barrows Shepley 1856 - 1941 on Clara Database of Women Artists
- Annie Barrows Shepley (1888-1907) on Ask Art
- Annie Barrows Shepley (1856 - 1941) on Women's Art at the World's Columbian Fair & Exposition, Chicago 1893
- Annie Shepley apparently flourished as an artist 1888-1907. None are perfect reliable sources but together with the previous link they do add some weight. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 00:07, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
