Have you thought to look to use {{multicol}} (and {{multicol-break}} & {{multicol-end}})? Personally I don't see the value in multiple columns as they are more useful where you want to continue to read on without paginating, and here you have already scrolled onwards. The only time that you might use columns would be where you kept it to a screen, or you put columns per letter, and used something like {{CompactTOCalpha}} at the top of the page to get you a letter somewhere down the page. — billinghurst sDrewth 14:55, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
