Recognised as a leading authority on genealogy and heraldry; well known as a raconteur, also a poet of some repute.

Death of Mr. F. Drummond

The funeral of Mr. Francis Drummond who had lived in retirement for many years at Takeley, and who was 83 years of age, took place on Saturday at Little Easobn Church. Mrs. Drummond is a sister of the Rev. H. B. Capel, formerly rector of Great Easton, and a cousin of the Countess of Warwick. Mr. Drummond, who was a member of Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and a barrister, formerly edited the "World," and served on the "Pall Mall Gazette." He belonged to the Cambridge University Masonic Lodge. The Dunmow Lodge was represented at the funeral.
