[edit]@Billinghurst: There are so many Herbert Everetts that this will be a tough one. Flourished 1911 to write this one poem for The Masses, a New York-based journal. PseudoSkull (talk) 02:52, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- 1915 census for New York State
- Herbert J Everitt abt 1890 Agnes V Vernon, Oneida buffer (silver ware)
- Herbert H Everett abt 1888 Barbara New York, Queens (electrician)
- Herbert C Everette abt 1908 Jessie M, Edward L Butternuts, Otsego
so nothing favourable there. Alternate spellings don't show anything. PseudoSkull going to need more information.
So maybe we are talking
- Herbert Edward Everett (Q97095727), snippet of info at https://archive.org/details/benezitdictionar05bene/page/348/mode/2up which isn't much, just says born Massachusetts, active Philadelphia. phab:F34588439

- @Billinghurst: That's the real Cesare, the man who disturbs you. The man who makes your soul uneasy. The man who makes you think you have a responsibility beyond your own bread and butter. When Herbert Everett, who used to be editor of Van Norden's Magazine, and then had to be something else, because they didn't want any Socialists fooling around a perfectly good publication—well, when Mr. Everett saw Cesare's picture of "The Masses," he went off and looked out of the window a few minutes. Then he came back, he said: "I could make a poem about that." So he did. PseudoSkull (talk) 03:25, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
