Author is misidentified
The author of the article "Mechanics of Hanging" is NOT the person who is at present linked as author. The author is James Barr M.D., prison surgeon to Kirkdale Gaol in Liverpool, * 1849 + 1938, knighted in 1905, elected president of the British Medical Association in 1912.
