Evidence that the DNB author is the historian?

@Charles Matthews: Apart from the similarity in names, do we have evidence that the JWA DNB author is the same as the JWA historian? All the DNB articles are cricket-related, so do we have an external source of information for the assignation or are we possibly conflating based on name alone? @Billinghurst: Interesting. This one was a Professor at Bedford College for a time, and also a cycling friend of Author:Thomas Seccombe, who was DNB staff.[1] The three articles date from about 1895. In 1903 they collaborated on The Age of Shakespeare.[2] At least plausible. Charles Matthews (talk) 06:58, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
