Note that this person's name is alternatively spelled Kennett, and that a similar-named person died more than six decades before DNB27 was published. For the page name: I'm going with Kenneth due to its corroboration by the few government records I found.

[edit]- FreeBMD:
- No birth record found.
- Bayley, Kenneth C., age 61, death register in Durham Q1 1935, vol. 10a, p. 432
- Probate Calendar: BAYLEY Kenneth Champain of The College Durham died 28 Feb 1935
- His obit at The Librarian and Book World volume 24 (Snippet view), published in 1935, says that he was "chapter clerk and honorary librarian to the Dean and Chapter of Durham"; the age matches up.
- Page 397 of The Antiquaries Journal volume 15 (snippet view) says that he was an FSA and that he died 23 February 1935.
@Billinghurst: Is it possible you can find even more that I couldn't, not counting what The Peerage (which is deprecated at enwiki, but often cites to reliable sources) cites to Burke's Peerage 2003? ミラP@Miraclepine 18:31, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- It is Kennett in birth, marriage, census, and probate records. The Kenneth in the list will be an error; as the only Kenneth I can find in the record sets are all transcription errors when you look at the actual records. All the records where the parents or himself have provided the detail and would have been checked say Kennett.
