For some family, see w:Thomas Pearce (priest). A sister, Ethel Katherine or Katharine Pearce, was a more distinguished zoologist (FLS, FZS). Nigel has no apparent occupation, so possibly married money. Charles Matthews (talk) 09:15, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
Well, there is family information in an obscure place (Diptera Digest), and I'll add it to Wikipedia in the first instance. Interestingly, Thomas Pearce married Fanny Georgina Blake, a daughter of Charles Henry Blake who is in the ODNB and so in Wikidata as d:Q18534778. So Nigel was a minor rentier (Blake was a property speculator who left a chunk of North London). He worked a bit as a private classics tutor. His wife was Elfrida May Visger. There was another son, Andrew Harman Pearce R.N., a naval surgeon born 1892. He saw action in WWI.[1]. Presumably he didn't live to 1939. Charles Matthews (talk) 16:09, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
