DEATH OF DR. PHILIP MUSKETT.
A WELL-KNOWN PHYSICIAN.
Sydney, Thursday.
The death is announced of Dr. Philip Edward Muskett, L.R.C.P., L.R.C.S., at the age of 52. The cause of death was heart failure.
Dr. Philip Edward Muskett was an Australian, he having been born at Fitzroy, Melbourne, on February 5, 1857. Ho commenced his education at the Model School, Melbourne, and passed from there to Wesley College as a State school exhibitioner, and whilst there ho won tho Draper Scholarship to the Melbourne University. He proceeded to Glasgow and Edinburgh, and became a licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, of those cities. Dr Muskett had a large number of Government and Hospital appointments in Victoria and New South Wales at various times, and he was well known for his writings on medical subjects.
