Death by suicide

There is a newspaper report of Monday 11 February 1924, in the Dundee Evening Telegraph (British Newspaper Archive). An inquest found Sydney Ernest Fryer, age 42, a civil servant living in Brunswick Terrace, Hove, had thrown himself in front of a train. Compatible with birth date, so I believe this is our Fryer. @Charles Matthews: Correct. Report in the Sunday Times states brother is Horace Herbert Fryer. I see HHF born 1873 to William Fryer and Emma Anna Kenna, which is the data in Venn's work. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:30, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

Seems to go by Sydney. I'll make it an alias on Wikidata. An Irish background helps explain why he married a daughter of w:John FitzGerald, Baron FitzGerald (Debrett's Peerage, 1931). That was Gertrude Mary Fitzgerald, in 1910. At that time he was in Egypt with the Ministry of Education, per Debrett, which confirms 1924 as the date of death.
