Pattapu or Pattapu Kapu is Andhra based coastal Community located in Eastern Andhra Pradesh (along the Buckingham canal). People speaks Pattapu basha(Aram) along with telugu, which comes under Dravidian family. The main occupations is fishing, Community also adopted Agriculture, involved in Rice, ground nuts farming. The community has stringent Panchayat system, the people strictly follow the panchayat rule made by community itself for village affairs. Listed under OBC.
