Article (7): Works not Subject to Protection

The protection provided for under this Law shall not include the following works unless collections of these works are distinguished with personal effort, which encompasses invention or organization:

1. Laws, regulations, judicial decisions, administrative committees' decisions, international agreements and other official documents and translations of these works or any part thereof.
2. News published, broadcast or delivered publicly.
3. Works that have become public property. National folklore shall be considered public property for the purposes of this Article, provided that the Minister shall exercise the copyrights of such works to counter distortion, alteration or damage to cultural interests.
