Patentee of Preaudience	1615.	13 Jac. I.
Second Sergeant	1627	2 Car. I.
Third Sergeant	1682.	33 Car. II.

From the year 1627 the title of King's Sergeant was discontinued, and that of Prime Sergeant adopted in its stead; in 1805 the title and precedence of the Prime Sergeant were abolished.

Fourth Justice of the King's Bench.	$\scriptstyle {\left.{\begin{matrix}\ \\\\\ \ \end{matrix}}\right\}\,}$	Added in 1784.
