Commencement of the Copyright Amendment Act, 1983 (1983)

This presidential proclamation, number 155 of 1983 published on 14 October 1983 in Government Gazette No. 8928, set the date that the Copyright Amendment Act, 1983, came into force, except for sections 4 and 5, which have not yet been brought into force.

Commencement of the Copyright Amendment Act, 1983

Under and by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 6 of the Copyright Amendment Act, 1983 (Act 66 of 1983), I hereby declare that the said Act with the exception of sections 4 and 5 shall come into operation on 17 October 1983.

Given under my Hand and the Seal of the Republic of South Africa at Pretoria this Fifth day of October, One thousand Nine hundred and Eighty-three.
