This presidential proclamation, number 119 of 1984 published on 6 July 1984 in Government Gazette No. 9308, brought the Republic of South Africa Constitution Act, 1983 into force on 3 September 1984.

Commencement of the Republic of South Africa Constitution Act, 1983 (Act 110 of 1983)



Under the powers vested in me by section 103 of the Republic of South Africa Constitution Act, 1983 (Act 110 of 1983), I hereby determine that the said Act shall commence on 3 September 1984.

Given under my Hand and the Seal of the Republic of South Africa at Pretoria on this Fifth day of July, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eighty Four.
