Backofen, Gottfried, youngest brother of the two preceding, was first clarinet player at Nuremburg in 1803, and a resident in that town.

BADER. Born 1794, a principal tenor singer at the German Theatre in Berlin. His power, firmness, and tone, together with his delightful performance, gained him much approbation.
