Bedos De Celles, Dom Francois, a Benedictine of the congregation of St. Maur, member of the Academy of Sciences at Bourdeaux and correspondent of the Academy at Paris, was born at Caux in 1706, and died in 1779. He published at Paris, in 1776-8, a work in 3 vols. folio, called "L'art du facteur d'orgues," (The Organ Builder's Art.) The fourth part contains an abridged history of the organ.
