Act

To amend the Republic of South Africa Constitution Act, 1961, so as to provide for the rendering of assistance by provinces and local authorities to other provinces and the territory of South West Africa.

Be it enacted by the State President, the Senate and the House of Assembly of the Republic of South Africa, as follows:―


Amendment of section 84 of Act 32 of 1961, as amended by section 37 of Act 47 of 1963, section 36 of Act 61 of 1965 and section 4 of Act 61 of 1972.

1. Section 84 of the Republic of South Africa Constitution Act, 1961, is hereby amended by the substitution for paragraph (fA) of the following paragraph:

“(fA) the assistance which a province or an institution or body contemplated in paragraph (f) may, with the approval of the State President, render to any other state, territory, province or the territory of South West Africa;”.


Short title.

2. This Act shall be called the Constitution Amendment Act, 1977.
